Project #42 - PFC (Project Flat Ceiling)

So, in homage to the little white peaks of nonsense that cover our ceilings at the moment, see below. Little do they know, their days are numbered...

Project #32 - MORE progress...

... it's like a DIY fest these last couple of weeks...

Project #32 - finish off....

So we got these....

So this might actually be a finished project soon. *Might*.

Project #38 - More after work activity...

Slow but steady progress, at this rate it'll be finished by the end of the week (or even Thursday when we have visitors :-S)...

Project #41 - Dismantle the Grim...

... that's it - all over, no more Grim hiding (all 7' of him) in the conservatory or in the background of photos anymore...

Project #40 - Re-wiring to get wireless thermostat working...

So we purchased a wireless thermostat last winter and as the weather is so nice - thought we've spend the afternoon re-wiring that, rather than mountain bike out to a nice pub and sit in the garden drinking beer. :-S

You can find everything on the internet... this diagram was the final aim...

... and in real life it looks like this:

Then when you turn it on it all (miraculously) works and you can move this wireless thermostat around the house for when that winter weather moves in. Rob's already vito'd me putting it at 27oC and carrying it around with me.

Project #39 - Front Garden (again)..

... it seems like 5 minutes ago that i was doing this - but i guess it must have been last year. It takes AGES and is hard work. I guess it looks "kept" now..

Project #38 - Jen's Room...

So we finally started work on "Jen's" room. Not too sure exactly what the end result will be here as i think we might have to make some decisions that affect kitchen choice too. This might be the trigger for kicking off the kitchen project - not sure i want to do that prior to Halloween. Not sure i want to do it full stop, i'd rather a magic kitchen fairy came in and completed it (including decision) for us.

 Radiator off....

A quick check into the hole - yep - nothing in there. Maybe a spider or two.

Stair support schmair support. :-)

Project #37 - The En Suite

Actually progress on the en suite... The replacement for everything arrives next Tuesday. Work planned to start on August 20th. We aren't going to try and do anything too crazy, just replace what's there & make it look sort of like the others. We do need to get someone in to plaster though - really looking forward to that. :-)

Escaping again this weekend...

Reference this last year: http://chrispie33.blogspot.co.uk/2012_06_01_archive.html we quickly realised that all the cool kids customise their canoes. So - in prep for this weekend's adventure... the customising begins...

Excuse "death" in the background of these photos, I generally forget he's there these days... And yes, it is 23:36 on a school night. Hoping the second side takes less time as we also have to pack tomorrow evening, then load the car up Friday morning before going to work. Can't see much work getting done. Ha!

Project #37 - The En Suite....

... well - see below for progress on the en suite....

https://vimeo.com/66008632

.. Yep - nothing to do with the en suite at all. Lack of progress is more accurate. And - to add to the lack of progress we are focusing on sorting out the canoe for it's first trip down the River Wye this weekend. Fun! :-)

Project #36 - The cans..

Having spent considerable money / effort / time to transport four excellent souvenirs with the intention of planting some plants that - according to the internet - even I wouldn't be able to kill, it only took 10 months to get round to completing. Time will tell I suppose... .

Project #35 - The bench!

One of the many thing's that's been on the list for a while - a bench! In theory, when the sunshine comes, we can sit out on it and drink coffee / cocktails / a cold beer. Bring on the summer!

Project #34 - Spring clean of garden..

Well, I think the before and after shots tell the story of the garden very very well...

Before:

 After:

...yes - that's correct - after almost three hours none stop work, it looks.... exactly the same... pppfff. Awesome.
