Project #7 - Front garden tidy...

We are actually doing about 20 different things but i'm avoiding putting half finished stuff up to confuse the issue. This weekend we wanted to tidy the front garden so we aren't stepping over things trying to get in the house. And even we are struggling to convince ourselves that it's "ornate" grass, rather than just grass that needs pulling out. Anyways - before's and afters below....

Projects #3-5

Project #3 - "the big light"

So we figured a nice light in the blue room to make a bit of a feature... sadly - i didn't measure ceiling height when measuring if it would fit. So it totally fits width wise, but hangs at what can only be described as... "neck height". It's staying for now, until we get a replacement and whilst Rob figures out why there are 7 wires instead of 3!

Project #4 - Stuff in the blue room

Having found the one missing box full of the cables and remaining things for the PC etc - stuff is now in the blue room and the computer is working again. This room works well if you are about 4 foot. :)

Project #5 - Tidy grass out the front

I've had total grass edge envy of next door's grass edge so i've had to do ours...

Project #2 - Painting "The Blue Room"

Hey Jen! So - the second project is painting the new ceiling and the wall - Lost Lake & Blue Reflection, very nice! And now aptly renamed "the blue room". :)

Next project we have to unpack everything and fit the new light etc. Then - finally, we might actually have got one room done?! crazy.

Project number 1... Study Ceiling....

Hey Jen!! OK - see below for the good old english "artexing"- not sure you lucky american's have this joy in your houses!! 

So, first Rob pulled off the tape that was supposed to be securing the ceiling boards to each other - and that made this nice mess. Rather than re-artex over the top, we decided to get rid of the artexing all together in that room by replastering the ceiling. Before / afters & during below! :)

Now we have to wait for a week until it's all dry before we can paint - will post the new paint job hopefully next weekend!
