A nice flamingo tongue..

Went diving yesterday with Vici, we were at Joy's Joy, just one dive (pm) and we saw some cool stuff! No sharks, no eagle rays though.

Sergeant Majors - a bunch of them!

A very small, very cute bridled burrfish..

Longsnout butterflyfish...

This butterfly fish was very taken with the red light that my camera produces when doing close ups in a dark hole. Every time i took a photo he would come close almost kiss the camera (or, more likely, trying to scare the camera off).

Pederson cleaner shrimps!

Diving yesterday.

Finally got out diving again yesterday - lovely morning, perfect weather - we went to Nacy's Cup of Tea and Coconut Walk, haven't been to either of those sites for ages so that was cool. We saw some juvenile spanish hogfish duelling - i have video but no (in focus) photos!

Above water pics...

More and more lately my photo's have been above the water - i guess because of the bad weather and a couple of ear problems. i should really be breaking out the SLR! Anyway i will post a few photo's that i've taken recently and been to lazy to sort out!

More Adventures Soon!!

So below is a picture of the world, with my planned round the world route on it (click it and it shoudl get bigger). I am leaving Little Cayman and the underwater wonders for others to discover and heading off to places and pastures new! Very excited about it all - of course! The name of the blog has changed and there will be photos from the trip - but hopefully i will get some diving in in Malaysia to keep up with the underwater photography. It's not for another couple of months though - so i will still be updating with diving photos and the Christmas and New Year activities! Also taking a second trip to Stingray City in a few weeks to once again get scared by really big stingrays! :)

Updates to follow....

Latest Activies....

OK - so not much has been happening here - bit of diving (some nice stingray photo's at some point - i'm having problems with "hello"). And some general hanging out at the resort. Today we all went over to Owen Island to learn (well everyone minus me - thank you shoulders) kiteboarding. Beers were involved so i can't idenify the person in the photo - but it was a lovely afternoon and then a lovely evening.

Days like this are the days i'll miss in Little Cayman...

Hallowe'en!!

So Hallowe'en, everyone made a very good effort to dress up and considering we have trouble getting food on this island i think we all did very well!! We played a few silly games at our bar, then moved for a few at pirates point for a few drinks. Good night all round! Day off tomorrow so hopefully heading out diving for the day. :)

Week off!! :)

So i had a visitor this week, and despite the blue sky in the sailing photo's below the weather has been AWFUL all week! The pond is overflowing in some places! Lovely week off from work though - and we managed to get out diving a couple of times (see photo's above!).

Cool Picture of the hurricane..

We are hiding under the clouds!!

Hurricane Wilmer...

Ok - so this is hurricane Wilmer - the strongest atlantic hurricane ever apparently. Though you can't believe everything you hear on the weather channel. As you can see cloud cover is all over the Caymans and no planes are flying, and diving cancelled etc etc. Hopefully by the weekend the weather should have calmed a little and we'll be diving again, AND hopefully this will be the last hurricane of a very busy season! Roll on November 30th...

Sam's Birthday - Owen Island

OK - So, today is Sam's birthday and to celebrate we went over for a BBQ at Owen Island. And some beer. And some wakeboarding. Sadly - there are no photo's of me actually wakeboarding, which is a shame as it's the first time i was properly up, for longer than a spilt second (about 4 or 5 in total!!!), after some burgers and sausages, we headed for land, then to Preston Bay where one of the local turtle nest was about to hatch. We got there just in time to see two turtles run for the sea and then about 20 dug up from the nest and headed down. very very cool. And, i know you aren't supposed to take photo's as it blinds them, but - there's about 120 turtles in the nest and as you can see there are only about 7 in the photo. And they all looked fine after the flash - carried onto the sea rather than wandering around stunned. :) Wicked day. Days like this are why i left England....
